A Cidade Alta, conhecida como Toompea, abriga a Catedral Ortodoxa Russa de S\u00e3o Alexander Nevsky, constru\u00edda no final do s\u00e9culo XIX. A Cidade Baixa, ou Vanalinn, \u00e9 o centro hist\u00f3rico e comercial da cidade. Tallinn \u00e9 a capital da Est\u00f4nia, e a primeira men\u00e7\u00e3o registrada da cidade data de 1219. A catedral foi dedicada ao Santo russo Alexander Nevsky, pr\u00edncipe de Novgorod. Em 1997, a Catedral foi reconhecida como Patrim\u00f4nio Mundial pela UNESCO.
